OUR STORY
Why Bailey and Beach exists
MJ Beach and Laney Vega met in a classroom at the Yale School of Management and knew almost immediately they would be friends for a long time. Nearly ten years later they are partners. Building something for Black and Brown women, by Black and Brown women, that changes how she sees herself and positions her to change the trajectory of her own economic mobility.
Bailey & Beach Foundation, Inc is more than an organization. It is a community of women committed to lifting as they climb, investing in black and brown women, and creating lasting economic and social impact. We were born from a shared vision between the late Kimberly Bailey and founder MJ Beach: to create a world where Black and Brown women are equipped, empowered, and celebrated as leaders at every stage of their journey.
We believe leadership is not defined by a title. It begins with confidence, grows through opportunity, and flourishes when someone opens the door and says, “You belong here.” Too often, talented women are left outside the rooms where decisions are made, relationships are built, and opportunities are created. We exist to change that.
Through mentorship, leadership development, entrepreneurship education, scholarships, grants, networking opportunities, and other charitable and educational programs, we equip women with the knowledge, relationships, and resources they need to lead boldly within their communities, careers, businesses, and beyond.
Our signature K.Y.M.B.E.R.L.Y. leadership program is named in honor of the late Kimberly Bailey and her legacy of friendship, creativity, generosity, and belief in the potential of others.
